Introductory Meeting

So that I can meet your pets and we can get acquainted, a complimentary 30 minute introductory 'meet and greet' in your home is required before the start of service.

At the meet and greet, I will take detailed notes about your pet's care requirements, the location of items in your home that are needed for the pet's care, and any other items relating to pet sitting and home care. We will go over the forms together. The Veterinary Release form allows me to act on your behalf if your pet requires medical attention. The Service Contract form details important information about client/caregiver responsibilities, cancellations, etc. I will answer any other questions you may have, pick up a door key, complete the service agreement with you, and collect payment for service.

*A key will be picked up at the Introductory Meeting. Please ensure that you have a spare.

Service Policies

Booking Service: 
Please let me know as early as possible to book you for service. A minimum of 2 weeks is suggested for pet sitting/dog walking, I will need 3 or more weeks for holiday periods, and 4 weeks for overnights.

Payment:
***FULL PAYMENT IS DUE ON OR BEFORE TIME OF SERVICE*** 
For existing clients, please send electronic payment or leave payment before start of service.

I can accept cash, check, PayPal, VenMo, and Bank issued checks. Reservations will not be held unless payment in full is received, or special arrangements are agreed upon by both parties.

Timing of Visits:

PLEASE ALLOW A 2 HOUR WINDOW OF TIME FOR VISITS*** 
I will do my best to visit your pets at your desired time, but logistics, scheduling, and uncontrollable factors, such as traffic, can occasionally push timing earlier or later. 
I am unable to accommodate SPECIFIC time requests for visits.

Key Policy:
Please plan to give me a spare key at the time of our meet and greet. Your key will be kept in a lock box until your next service. If you do not have a key at the time of our meeting, I charge $10 to pick it up. Alternately, you may drop it by my home, or hide it in a lockbox/key safe on your property. For those who wish to have their key returned, I can lock it inside your house, you may pick it up from me, or I will bring it to you at home for $10.

Distance Mileage Surcharge: 
If you live 8-13 miles from 91302 there is a $5 extra mileage surcharge. I cannot service households further than 13 miles from 91302

Final Quote of Fees: 
Final quote of fees will be determined at the meet & greet and can depend on your distance from zip code 91302, number of pets, and amount of time/work it takes to care for them.

Cancellation Policy

Most of my commitments are made weeks, sometimes months in advance. For this reason, it is usually very difficult to fill openings that come up at the last moment. Therefore, I have set the following guidelines regarding cancellation of reservations:

Pet Sitting and Dog Walking:
2 days
 or more prior to start of service: No charge, refund in full.
1 day or less prior to start of service: No refunds, payment in full is due.

Overnights:
5 or more days
 prior to start of service: No charge, refund in full.
5 days or less prior to start of service: No refunds, payment in full is due.

All Services on Holidays and Weekends:
5 or more days prior to start of service: No charge, refund in full.
5 days or less prior to start of service: No refunds, payment in full is due.
